POSTED ON

Most people work a 40-hour work week, some more. That is a lot of time spent in the office, especially for those hitting overtime. Having to clock in and out can lead to a lot of stress and frustration, which can affect your overall productivity. Luckily, CBD is here to help ease stress and eliminate your frustration so you can produce at your job and have an efficient workday. Throughout this post, we will discuss how CBD can be an effective way to help make your work week run smoother.

What is CBD?

Our bodies are designed with a biological system made up of endocannabinoids called the endocannabinoid system. Endocannabinoids are internal lipid-based neurotransmitters that have the ability to combine themselves with cannabinoid receptors located throughout our body. The endocannabinoid system plays a crucial role in helping regulate an array of physiological and cognitive processes, including memory and mood.

Researchers discovered that different cannabinoids, found in the hemp plant, interact with our bodies in sophisticated and unique ways. Among the number of cannabinoids found in the hemp plant, THC and CBD are the most familiar and widespread ones. THC can produce intoxicating effects, whereas CBD does not.

CBD stimulates the endocannabinoid system, which therefore promotes homeostasis in the body, balances mood and helps to ease discomforts. The interaction of CBD and the endocannabinoid system also enhances clarity and focus, decreases anxious feelings, promotes a sense of calmness, aids in recovery and assists in a better night’s rest.

CBD May Ease Discomfort

There are many benefits to CBD, but a huge one is the relief from discomfort. Whether you are experiencing tension in your back from leaning over at your computer all day or having discomfort in your hands from typing, CBD can be the help you need. CBD works to combat discomfort and has the ability to ease soreness that may occur from the physical stress we place on our body every day. It also can help to ease joint discomfort and aid in muscle recovery, eliminating soreness or reducing it drastically. CBD relaxes your muscles and assists in easing tension to help allow you to focus on your tasks rather than the discomfort.

CBD May Help Relieve Stress

CBD also is great for helping more than just physical stress. It has the ability to combat mental stress as well. When we use CBD, it interacts with our endocannabinoid system and helps to ease feelings of anxiousness we may experience from deadlines, co-workers, employers, at-home stress and much more. It also lifts our mindset by enhancing our mood through its subtle euphoric properties.

CBD May Enhance Clarity & Focus

Much of time at work can be spent not focusing, being distracted or procrastinating. CBD can help by combatting distractions that may occur from physical and mental stress. The lifted mood experienced from using CBD can aid you in your focus on achieving your tasks at hand by helping to balance the stress and pressure of the workload to be completed. This cannabinoid can help enhance your clarity and focus on your work.

Types of CBD

As the use of CBD becomes more prevalent among mainstream stores and consumers, more questions arise regarding what is the difference between Full Spectrum CBD vs Broad Spectrum CBD vs CBD Isolate, as well as which type is more beneficial. While there is no definitive answer as which type is “best,” it is important for each user to understand the differences to discover which type is best for them.

CBD Isolate

CBD Isolate is the purest form of CBD and contains 99% CBD. It is typically extracted from Hemp because of its low to non-existent THC content. CBD Isolate is produced by removing all other compounds from the plant – terpenes, flavonoids and other cannabinoids, including THC – to leave just the CBD for the consumer. This form of CBD is best used for those that are concerned with drug testing at their place of employment or have a sensitivity to THC, and do not need the benefits of other cannabinoids.

Full Spectrum CBD

Full Spectrum is a commonly purchased CBD oil in the market today. With a Full Spectrum CBD oil, you receive a “full spectrum” of cannabinoids, terpenes, essential oils and even trace amounts of THC from the plant that are pulled out together during the extraction process. The combination of these components is called the “entourage effect.”

Many people find that Full Spectrum is the most beneficial for them because of this “entourage effect” and keeping the whole plant properties intact. As compared to CBD Isolate, Full Spectrum CBD is able to provide the consumer with a more robust oil due to the power-packed combination of components from the plant. Full Spectrum CBD is best for those that want the full benefits of the entourage effect and do not mind trace amounts of THC in their CBD product.

Broad Spectrum CBD

In looking at the composition of Broad Spectrum CBD, it is a mix between Full Spectrum CBD and CBD Isolate. Similar to Full Spectrum CBD, the user is getting the benefits of the entourage effect because it contains multiple cannabinoids. However, just like CBD Isolate, the THC is removed from Broad Spectrum CBD. This extraction of CBD is best for those that want more than just CBD Isolate, but are either hesitant to have any THC in their product or live in states with strict THC laws.

Conclusion

No one can argue that stress more times than not is accompanied in the workplace. There is always deadlines to meet, a meeting to make and money to be made. That is why it is critical to give yourself whatever advantages you can while performing your duties. CBD can be easily incorporated into your schedule no matter where you are because of the various amount of uses available, making it very convenient for you.
